I currently live in the beautiful state of Colorado, in the heart of the Rockies with my mountain man husband, Geoff.
Hi! I'm Kara, the founder of Kindred Spirits Wanderlust, travel for like minded individuals. In 2024 I bid goodbye to my 20 year career as a small business owner and took the leap to turn my passion for travel into my full time profession. While I have over 25+ years of experience globetrotting, it was only in 2022 that I started to really focus in on vegan travel. I've eaten my way all around the world from Nebraska (slim pickings) all the way to Prague (vegan mecca) and everywhere in-between. Being vegan doesn't have to define where you travel, you just have to know how to travel. I'm here to help you plan your dream vacation, wherever that might be and make sure there are options for each individual travelers wants and needs. ​​

Self proclaimed Crazy Cat Lady, in my spare time you can find me volunteering with the local animal shelter, digging in the garden or baking a nice loaf of sourdough bread.
I'm obsessed with finding vegan bakeries and patisseries on my travels and always make sure I bring a sweet treat back to the room for the night!
I first caught the globetrotting bug when I was 16 and traveled over with my family to see my sister in Singapore. It was love at first long haul flight!
I grew up a National Park Service kid and was lucky enough to live in beautiful spots all over the USA. Lake Powell, Mt. Rainier and Indiana Dunes just to name a few.
